Provide Interest for your Website with a Quiz

A great way to attract website visitors is to provide interesting website content.  Visitors love to get fresh, up-dated and interesting information.  They also like a bit of entertainment.  If you offer both information and entertainment, website traffic will flock to your website and be sure to return again and again.

You can provide a little extra interest for your visitors, and provide them with some entertainment at the same time, by offering a little trivia quiz.  Everyone is interested in trivia—you know, those little questions that challenge the mind with bits of trivial knowledge.

Having a trivia quiz as a feature on your website keeps your visitors on your site longer.  This helps them to be more exposed to what your offer or service is, thereby increasing the possibility of them buying something.

Offering new trivia quizzes at intervals will also help to get your visitors to return to your website.  Statistics prove that each time a visitor returns to your website, it constitutes a better chance of them buying your product or service.  Again, this has to do with more exposure to your offer, as well as them seeing you as an expert that they keep coming back to.

When you offer a trivia quiz for your visitors to enjoy, there is also more of a possibility that they will refer your website to a friend.  Perhaps they will want to challenge their friends to answer the questions they couldn’t.  Maybe it will start a friendly competition between them.  Whatever the case, this gives you the opportunity of increased visitors to your site.  Hint:  Be sure to have a ‘Refer a Friend’ button on your site to make it easy for your visitor to pass the quiz (and your site) along.

Of course, the quiz you offer should be in line with what your website is all about.  For example, if your website sells fishing tackle, how about a quiz about types of lures to catch certain fish.  “Question:  What type of lure is the best to use for bass?”  Answer:  A top water mouse pad.  (You can even provide a bit of extra information to aid in your sales, such as:  A topwater mouse pad is among the most exciting baits you can use to fish for bass. They are often very productive and many times can out-fish other techniques. Generally, topwaters are at their most effective when in warm to cool water, especially if the water temperature is above 55 degrees. Topwaters are best used in the early morning, late evening and in the calm before an approaching storm.)

With the trivia question, you have gained your visitors interest and entertainment value, and with your answer you have provided a bit of advertisement for your product.  Doesn’t this seem like an excellent way to get your website visitors involved in your topic?

You can decide how often to offer a new quiz for your visitors, based on how often you think they will return to view it.  You can offer a few quiz questions at a time, or offer only one—and then provide the answer the next day for them to return.

You do not have to spend the time creating the quizzes yourself, either.  Here at Content Website Writer we offer quizzes for sale, or you can hire a freelance writer to research and create one for you (complete with answers, of course).

Offering trivia quizzes for your website visitors is an excellent way to gain interest and entertainment value for your website.  It is a great method of marketing a website.
